Furnish Named to All-HCAC Tournament Team
Anderson University baseball standout M.J. Furnish (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Chrstian) was named to the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament Team, which was announced on Saturday.

The Ravens (23-19) went 1-2 during the double-elimination round of the HCAC Tournament. Anderson, originally a No. 5 seed, was reseeded to a No. 4 seeded for the double-elimination round of the conference tournament. Bluffton University (20-24), originally a No. 8 seed, was reseeded to a No. 5 seed for the double-elimination round of the HCAC Tournament.
Bluffton pulled away from Anderson with an 11-3 victory in Game 1. Anderson then locked up a 7-3 victory against second-seeded Franklin College (25-14) in Game 2. The Beavers then held onto an 8-5 win against the Ravens in Game 3.
Furnish went 5-for-11 with two doubles and three RBIs during the double-elimination round of the HCAC Tournament. He put together a .455 batting average, a .500 on-base percentage and a .636 slugging percentage.
In the first game against Bluffton, Furnish finished 1-for-2 with a double and a walk. Furnish drove in two runs, going 3-for-5 with a double against Franklin. He then went 1-for-4 with an RBI in the second game against Bluffton.
