Baldwin Wallace, which is receiving votes in the latest D3baseball.com poll, came out hot in the first inning. The Yellow Jackets got on the board early when their second batter Drew Wilson homered into left field for an early 1-0 lead. Their next batter, Alex Ludwick, followed with a double. The Yellow Jackets added on two more runs in the third inning in very similar fashion to the first. After getting two outs, Luke Vonderhaar turned their energy around with a homer into right field. Two innings of no scoring from either side would pass before the Yellow Jackets added on a three-run inning. A JT Mazula double scored two runs. Mazula then scored two plays later, giving the Yellow Jackets a 7-0 lead as they continued to shut the Ravens out.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Ravens were finally able to get on the board. With a 2-0 count, Levi Brown made it on base after being walked. Brown then reached second on a wild pitch. Jake Stank then stepped up to bat and singled to center field, bringing Brown home to get the Ravens on the board. Anderson now trailed Baldwin Wallace 7-1.
Both sides would see a scoreless eighth inning before getting a couple runs in the ninth.
