Harley Breaks School's Passing Record
Anderson University football freshman Tyson Harley (New Palestine, Ind./Mount Vernon) broke the single-game school passing record by racking up 479 passing yards during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup with Franklin College in Franklin. Harley also three for four touchdowns.Â
Anderson (3-3, 1-2) cut the deficit with two late scores in the fourth quarter, but fell to Franklin (3-3, 2-1) in a 49-35 loss.
Phenol Williams (Miami Shores, Fla./Miami Carol City) totaled nine receptions and 138 receiving yards, which includes touchdown receptions of 59 yards and 11 yards from Harley. James Tucker (Brookville, Ind./Franklin County) notched 131 receiving yards. Alex Barnett (McCordsville, Ind./Mount Vernon) put together 121 receiving yards and a 38-yard touchdown reception from Harley. Elijah Crowe (Robinson, Ill./Logansport) caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Harley and Reggie Lipscomb (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) ran in a one-yard touchdown.

Xavier Gee (Marion, Ind./Marion) led the Ravens with nine tackles. Trevor Larence (Whiteland, Ind./Whiteland Community) came up with eight tackles. Christian Myers (Newport, Ind./North Vermillion) and Jacen Beckman (Connersville, Ind./Connersville) each came with six tackles while Charles Keith (Detroit, Mich./Franklin), Malandric Skipper-Blair (Anderson, Ind./Anderson Preparatory Academy), Dylan Hepler-Fink (Syracuse, Ind./Wawasee), Hayden Lee (Cedarville, Ohio/Cedarville) and Callan Shockey (Indianapolis, Ind.`/Franklin Central) each finished with five tackles. Alex Laccabue (Tampa, Fla./Calvary Christian) forced a fumble. Cole Patrician (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) broke up two passes while Keith, Skipper-Blair and Andrew Cochran (Van Buren, Ind./Eastbrook) each broke up a pass.
