Harley Selected as HCAC Offensive Player of the Week

Anderson University football standout Tyson Harley (New Palestine, Ind./Mount Vernon) was selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Offensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Monday.
Harley was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The freshman from New Palestine his own school record with 512 passing yards against Mount St. Joseph University (7-2, 5-2). Harley first broke the school record earlier this year by throwing for 479 passing yards against Franklin College (5-4, 4-2).
Completing 42 passes, Harley tied the school record set by Joel Steele in 2001. He finished 42-of-63 passing for a .667 completion percentage. Harley also fired five touchdown passes. Anderson put up 688 yards of total offense, which ranks second in history, only trailing a 710-yard performance against Franklin in 2003.
Harley leads the conference and ranks third in the nation with 27.22 completions per game. He also ranks 11th in the nation and second in the conference with 307 passing yards per game. Harley has contributed a .636 completion percentage, which ranks third in the HCAC and 38th in the nation. He ranks second in the conference and is tied for 40th in the nation with 20 passing touchdowns.
The Ravens (3-6, 1-5) clash with Manchester University (3-6, 2-4) for The Bronze Ball in Saturday's HCAC matchup at 1:30 p.m. in North Manchester.
