Anderson University football alumnus and former Buffalo Bill Brad Lamb '91 is set to speak at the Macholtz Fundraiser Dinner on Friday, Sept. 20.
Lamb was a football and track and field star during his time at Anderson. As a football player, Lamb was an all-American wide receiver and a two-time all-conference selection. He has several entries in the football record books including the single-season and career records for reception yards and reception touchdowns. In track and field, Lamb made multiple entries in Anderson's top 10 of all-time, which includes the outdoor 100-meter dash school records that he still holds.
After college, the Buffalo Bills drafted Lamb in the eighth round in 1991. He spent two years on the Buffalo Bills, who made the Super Bowl in both seasons.
Anderson is currently fundraising money to install new bleachers at Macholtz Stadium. The Macholtz Fundraiser Dinner is set for Friday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. A dinner will be held with entertainment featuring the Rock Bottom Boys of Madison County. Following dinner at 7 p.m., Lamb will speak and also provide an update on the Macholtz project.
"We are excited to have Brad Lamb back on campus for this event," Anderson Football Head Coach Jonathan Coddington said. "He was a tremendous athlete for the Ravens and such a great person as well. He is part of a fantastic alumni base that has left an incredible legacy here at AU, both on and off the field. We are excited to continue to add to this legacy as a program, and honor the ones who have gone before in how we play and how we operate as a team."
Tickets for the Macholtz Fundraiser Dinner are $20 and tickets include a free T-shirt. All proceeds go towards the Macholtz Stadium project. Fans can register for the Macholtz Fundraiser Dinner here.
