Carter Collins enters 2024-25 in his third season as head coach of the Ravens. In his first two seasons, Collins has led the Ravens on one of the best runs in program history. The Ravens have won all four available conference championships during Collins’s tenure – regular season and tournament crowns in each of his two seasons.

In 2023-24, the Ravens repeated as regular season HCAC champions, compiling a 16-2 conference record, which tied the mark for the best conference record in the HCAC’s current ten-team era (since 2010). The Ravens hosted the HCAC Tournament, and defeated Manchester and Hanover en route to a tournament championship. The team made its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, falling to Hope College, and finished the season with a final record of 23-5. Collins was voted HCAC Coach of the Year for his efforts, and four Raven players earned All-Conference First and Second Team awards.

In Collins’s first season as head coach, 2022-23, the Ravens won a share of the regular season conference championship with a 14-4 mark. The Ravens also went on to win the HCAC Tournament, defeating Hanover in the semifinals and Rose-Hulman in the championship. The victory earned AU its first ever automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, and second bid overall. The team finished with an 18-10 record on the season after falling to eventual national runner-up Mount Union. Tate Ivanyo was named HCAC Player of the Year, and was also named a Second Team All-American by the NABC. The Ravens also had two additional players earn All-Conference recognition.

Prior to being named head coach, Collins spent five seasons as an assistant coach with the Ravens. During Collins's time as assistant, the Ravens went 64-56 and made the HCAC Tournament in each of the five seasons.

Collins also spent the 2021-22 season as AU’s head men's golf coach. Collins's first recruiting class as golf coach consisted of eight newcomers, bringing the program's roster to its largest size in more than a decade.

In the three years prior to AU, Collins served as a student-assistant coach at Hope College, assisting with both the varsity and junior varsity teams. During his four years at Hope, the Dutchmen won three conference championships, and participated in the NCAA Tournament in those three seasons, including a run to the Sweet Sixteen in 2017.

Prior to coaching, Collins spent his freshman year at Hope playing on the junior varsity team, continuing a playing career that began in Fowlerville High School in Fowlerville, Mich., where he was an all-conference and all-county selection and two-time captain for the Gladiators.

Collins earned a Master's of Business Administration degree at Anderson. He received a bachelor's degree with a double major in Psychology and Communication at Hope College.
