COACH DIJON KNIGHT'S COMMENTS
- Despite finishing 10th of out 11 teams in the Delaware Country Club Shootout, I'm pleased with our team's ability to stay the course and improve as the day went on. We still are looking for that consistency from round to round from everyone, but to compete for 36 holes straight is no easy task. I was able to see improvement in our scores from the first round compared to the second.
- Freshman Jackson Rachal is starting to gain some confidence and is solidifying his spot in our lineup after scoring a 71 (+1) being tied for ninth place after Round 1. Perhaps fatigue set in some in the second round as he posted an 81 in Round 2. However, most importantly for me is to see the growth for him from his first college tournament to his second.
- Freshman Ethan Kerr perhaps had the highlight of the day, scoring an ace on Hole 6 in his first ever college competition.
