Spotlight Raven Series: Cole Whatley (Men’s Lacrosse)

Cole Whatley is a freshman on the Anderson University men's lacrosse team.

Whatley led the Ravens in points (14), goals (11), ground balls (36), faceoff wins (42), shots (59) and shots on goal (37). He won 59.2 percent (42-of-71) of his faceoffs, which ranks second in the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC). Whatley led the conference in man-up goals (3) and finished third in the conference in ground balls per game (6.00). He also dished out three assists this season.

The Ravens (1-5) captured an 11-9 victory against Northland College (0-6) on March 3. Whatley keyed the Ravens with four goals, 13 ground balls and faceoff wins on 16-of-22 (72.7 percent) attempts. The following week, Whatley was named the HCLC Offensive Player of the Week.
