Anderson (4-3) jumped out to a 4-0 lead during the first quarter, which included three goals from Cole Whatley. The Ravens held a 7-3 lead after the first quarter.
Josh Rhodes added a goal to give Anderson an 8-3 lead in the second quarter. The Gentlemen responded with nine unanswered goals and the run carried into the fourth quarter. G'Colby Spivey and Jordan Cook each scored three goals during the run.
The Ravens rattled off three goals to make it a 12-11 game in the closing minutes.
Bryce Johnson came up with a critical caused turnover to give the Ravens the ball back with under two minutes to go. Following a Raven turnover, the Gentlemen immediately turned the ball over to give Anderson the ball back. With the Ravens down by one on the final possession, Centenary committed a penalty with 28 seconds to go, giving the Ravens a one-man advantage. The Gentlemen committed a second penalty with nine seconds to go to give the Ravens a two-man advantage. Jordan Cook caused a raven turnover to seal the win for the Gentlemen.
Whatley led the Ravens with five goals. Rhodes notched three goals and three assists. Logan Lawrence provided one goal and two assists while Sean Terry tallied a goal and an assist. Michael Ertel netted a goal and Zach Thompson dished out an assist.
Kenny Bentley won 14-of-25 (56 percent) faceoffs and also collected six ground balls. Justin Bemis picked up five ground balls while Blake Seifert and Sean Terry recorded four ground balls apiece. Eric Fisher saw 18 shots and came up with six saves.
The Gentlemen cleared 17-of-24 (70.8 percent) attempts while the Ravens finished 13-of-20 (65 percent) clears.
Anderson battles Mount St. Joseph University (2-6) in non-conference action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Macholtz Stadium.
