Hayward Closes Out 3-Meter Diving in 26th in NCAA Diving Regionals

Hayward recorded an 11-dive 3-meter diving score of 380.35 points and an average of 34.58 points per dive. The junior from Fort Wayne secured 14th with an 11-dive 1-meter diving score of 413.70 points and an average of 37.61 points per dive.
"The competition at regionals was nothing to be slept on," Assistant Diving Coach Jacob Merkel said. "There were so many great divers out there. Matthew had a great meet and dove above and beyond my expectations. Matthew had more of a pea shooter list that we knew he could hit for good scores. Now that we know that upgrades are in order for next year!"
