Nation Named HCAC Athlete of the Week

Anderson University men's tennis senior Seth Nation has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

The Ravens (8-1) locked up a 7-2 win against Alma College (0-2) on Saturday at the Community Sport and Wellness Center in Pendleton. Anderson and Alma resumed their match, which started on Oct. 2 in Alma, Mich. The match was suspended after the completion of doubles due to heavy rain. Anderson held a 2-1 lead through that point.

Nation partnered with Peter Hallam to earn an 8-1 victory against Caleb Schuring/Brendon Murdie in No. 1 doubles. In No. 3 singles, Nation recorded a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Walker Michaels.

The Ravens return to action on April 2 for two matches hosted by Manchester University (0-9). Anderson and Manchester clash to open the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) season at 11 a.m. The Ravens then take on Spring Arbor University (5-6) at 2 p.m.
