Anderson’s 4x200 Relay Takes Second in HCAC Indoor Championships
The Anderson University men’s track and field team fielded a 4x200-meter relay of Dahaven Rayner, Jair Adams, Isaiah Lockhart and Clay Meadows, which took second place with a season-best time of 1 minutes, 34.66 seconds during Saturday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Championships in Terre Haute.

Anderson's 4x200 relay earned second-team all-conference honors.
The Ravens finished eighth in the HCAC team standing with a team score of 30 points.
Ian Leatherman captured third (15:48.51) in the 5,000 to earn all-conference honorable mention. He also locked up sixth (9:08.68) in the 3,000.
Clayton Wilson claimed fifth in the 5,000 with a PR time of 15:55.69.
In the 60-meter dash prelims, Adams sprinted to eighth with a personal record (PR) time of 7.22 seconds. Adams charged to sixth (7.27) in the 60-meter dash finals. Adams earned seventh in the long jump, posting a distance of 5.98 meters (19 feet, 7.5 inches).
Rayner tied for fifth in the 60-meter dash prelims with a PR time of 7.20 seconds. He finished seventh (7.29) in the 60-meter dash finals.
Kory Herget took seventh in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.70 meters (12 feet, 1.5 inches).
Kaleb Gucinski put together PR times in the 1-mile run (4:57.57) and the 800 (2:12.84).
Zharquan White fired a PR in the weight throw with a distance of 12.99 meters (42 feet, 7.5 inches).
Clay Meadows sprinted to a season-best time of 7.54 seconds in the 60-meter dash.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology cruised to its 10th consecutive conference title with a team score of 204 points. Earlham College came in second with 104 points, finishing ahead of Hanover College (92), Manchester University (54), Bluffton University (51), Mount St. Joseph University (47), Franklin College (38), Anderson (30), Defiance College (23) and Transylvania University (15), which rounds out the HCAC team standings.
Anderson hosts the Fred Wilt Invitational on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Kardatzke Wellness Center.
