Bio

Tony Holloway enters the 2023-24 season in his 40th year at Anderson University and his 17th year as head coach.

Under Holloway’s leadership, the Anderson softball program won consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships and subsequent NCAA Division III Tournament berths from 2011-2015.

In the 2013 NCAA Tournament, Anderson won their first regional championship, defeating No. 2 Trine twice, and downing Allegheny College in the championship to advance to the Division III World Series in Eau Claire, Wisc. AU finished the season 31-18 overall and 12-4 in the HCAC.

The 2011 AU squad fell to eventual national champion and No. 1 Linfield and No. 5 Central in the national tournament. Holloway was voted HCAC Coach of the Year following each of the championship seasons (2011-15).

Holloway served as an assistant coach for 23 years before taking over the top spot in 2008. AU has won seven conference championships, nine post-season conference titles, and made eight NCAA Division III regional appearances (1999, 2000, 2007, 2011-15).

Tony and his wife Teresa, an AU graduate and former Raven softball and volleyball player, reside in Pendleton and have three children: Tyler, Tami Jo and Tanner.
