Strege Named HCAC Diver of the Week

Anderson University women's swimming and diving standout Halle Strege (McCordsville, Ind./Mount Vernon) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Diver of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Strege earned her second HCAC Diver-of-the-Week selection this year. The freshman from McCordsville broke her school record in 3-meter diving with a score of 196.90 points.
Last week, the Ravens competed in the three-day Magnus Cup hosted by NCAA Division I's Cleveland State University. Anderson secured 12th place in a field consisting of NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and nationally-ranked National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) competition.
Strege took 14th in the 3-meter diving event with her 196.90 score. She posted a score of 186.70 points during the prelims.
In the 1-meter diving event, Strege put together scores of 190.60 in the prelims and 186.15 in the finals.
Anderson (1-1, 1-1) challenges Franklin College (6-0, 3-0) in a HCAC dual on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in Bennett Natatorium.
