COACH NIC HUFFMAN'S COMMENTS
Saturday went really well. There were many amazing people to help and a lot of things to make the day so enjoyable. It was an exciting day competing in front of friends and family. The athletes were able to stay focused and competed really well, with most earning personal bests. I'm pleased with how the day went. We all still have work to do, but we gained confidence. Thank you to everyone who came to support us.
SENIOR CALLIE GUTHRIE'S COMMENTS
- I love our AU home meets because it is a chance for us to show off everything we can do. Everyone rallies around each other and supports each other really well. I think that happens at all of our meets, but especially this one, because it is on our home turf.
- My biggest takeaway [from my career] is that having fun is what's most important and if you have fun, you will also perform better.
SENIOR KALEB GUCINSKI'S COMMENTS
- As far as it being our only home meet, it being my Senior Day and this being my last meet that I'll ever have here, I'm thoroughly ecstatic and happy with everyone's performances, not only mine, but everyone else's. I did hit PR's that I was looking for as well as jump into a 4x400 for fun right after hitting that PR. It was all in all a fun experience.
- My time at AU has discovered a deepened love for community, a love for God and a love for hard work that you can put in both your time here and your time after AU.
