Anderson Hangs Tough with Hanover
The Anderson University volleyball team hung tough with Hanover College, but fell in four sets in a 25-17, 22-25, 25-15, 25-20 decision during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Hanover.

"I am so proud of the team as they played with the intensity that we have been looking for all season," Coach Tami Miller said. It was a tough loss since we felt like we played as well as we have played in the last couple of weeks."

Felicity Bontrager (Goshen, Ind./Fairfield) racked up 11 kills, five blocks and a .333 attack percentage to lead the Ravens (8-17, 2-7). Hannah Rady (Cloverdale, Ind./Cloverdale) dished out 22 assists while Kaycie Gates (Newburgh, Ind./Castle) provided 14 assists. Brooke Troyer (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial) collected 24 digs. Jimena Montano (Algonquin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) and Ashlyn Transier (Swayzee, Ind./Oak Hill) contributed eight kills each. Olivia Rice (Walkerton, Ind./John Glenn) produced seven kills and a .263 hitting percentage. Emily Hale (Daleville, Ind./Wes-Del) recorded six kills and Emily Benefiel (Frankton, Ind./Frankton) scattered 11 digs. Taylor Lawson (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) notched five kills and 10 digs.

Hanover (18-10, 7-2) posted a .209 hitting percentage while Anderson finished with a .114 attack percentage.

Seniors Benefiel, Lawson, Hale and Makaylea Alberts (Alexandria, Ind./Alexandria-Monroe) each wrapped up their Anderson volleyball careers.
