Anderson Takes Sixth in Grizzly Invitational
The Anderson University women’s cross-country team competed in their first race of the 2021-22 season on Saturday. The Ravens finished sixth in the Grizzly Invitational hosted by Franklin College at Blue River Memorial Park.
The Anderson University women's cross-country team competed in their first race of the 2021-22 season on Saturday. The Ravens finished sixth in the Grizzly Invitational hosted by Franklin College at Blue River Memorial Park.
Noelle Loller (Lapel, Ind. / Lapel) led the Ravens, taking 3rd place out of 110 runners. Loller finished the 6K with a time of 23:36.83, earning a personal best. Coming in 15th place was Lydia Dyer (Harlan, Ind. / Woodlan) with a time of 24:46.36. Emilie Penick (Brookville, Ohio / Brookville) recorded a 27:00.12, earning 46th place. Securing 66th place was Callie Guthrie (Beavercreek, Ohio / Beavercreek) with a time of 28:48.03. Baileigh Stewart (Fishers, Ind. / Fishers) ran a 30:57.14 to finish in 94th place. Close behind her was Mariah Sanders (Lincoln, Ill. / Lincoln) with a 32:06.09 for 99th place. Closing out the race were Jenna O'Donohue (Muncie, Ind. / Muncie Central) and Kiley Huff (Frankton, Ind. / Frankton) in 103rd and 109th place with times of 32:51.61 and 40:08.24 respectively.
Overall, Anderson earned a team total time of 2:15:08.48 for 6th place out of 11 teams.
Anderson will be back in action Friday, Sept. 17, as they head to Upland to take part in the Ray Bullock Invitational hosted by Taylor University. The race is set to start at 5PM.
