Anderson Earns Fourth in HCAC Championships
The Anderson University women’s cross country team earned fourth place during Saturday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships at Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville.

Anderson put together the program's best finish in the conference meet since the 2014 season.
"Both teams went out there and got the job done," Coach Karis Johnson said. "I knew they were all ready to do something great. I'm excited to see how we can raise and push the bar even further as we prepare for the regional meet."
Noelle Loller (Lapel, Ind. / Lapel) captured second place with a 6K time of 23 minutes, 53.4 seconds. The junior from Lapel garnered first-team all-conference honors for the second year in a row. Loller has received all-conference recognition three times.
Lydia Dyer (Harlan, Ind. / Woodlan) locked up 15th with a time of 25:38.0. The freshman from Harlan received all-HCAC Honorable Mention.
Emilie Penick (Brookville, Ohio / Brookville) took 22nd with a personal-record (PR) time of 26:17.0. Baileigh Stewart (Fishers, Ind. / Fishers) secured 45th with a PR time of 27:44.9. Callie Guthrie (Beavercreek, Ohio / Beavercreek) claimed 52nd with a PR time of 28:00.5. Makayla Barbour (Valparaiso, Ind. / Chesterton) crossed the finish line 62nd with a season PR of 29:17.5. Jenna O'Donohue (Muncie, Ind. / Muncie Central) placed 64th with a PR time of 29:27.9 while Mariah Sanders (Lincoln, Ill. / Lincoln) finished 65th with a PR time of 29:28.3.
Manchester University's Elizabeth Lohman took the individual crown with a 6K time of 23:37.2.
In the team standings, Manchester captured the conference title with a team score of 41 points. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology took second in the team standings with a score of 72 points, finishing ahead of Hanover College (83), Anderson (127), Bluffton University (129), Earlham College (144), Mount St. Joseph University (163), Franklin College (169) and Transylvania University (229), which rounded out the team standings.
The Ravens return to action in the NCAA D-III Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at Blue River Memorial Park.
