Bio

Marcie Taylor, an Anderson alumna, begins the 2023-24 season in her 34th year overall at Anderson and her 16th year as the Athletic Director. 

In the spring of 2015 after 25 years as Head Basketball Coach of the Lady Ravens, seven of which she spent as both AD and head basketball coach, Taylor stepped down to become AU’s full-time Athletic Director. 

Highlights during her 25-year coaching career include the 2002 season when the team went 21-7, winning the conference tournament and competing in the NCAA DIII Regionals.  Taylor was named 2002 HCAC Coach of the Year.  The 2008 squad also won the regular season conference championship and she was again named the HCAC Coach of the Year.  

Taylor was a guard for the Lady Ravens from 1980-84 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Physical Education, with a minor in Biology.  She earned a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University.
