Matt Burnstedt

Title:

Head Coach

Bio

Matt Burnstedt enters the 2022-23 season his third year as the Anderson University esports head coach. The Anderson esports program is also in its third season.

Burnstedt graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He then earned a Master of Business Leadership & Management degree with a concentration in Athletic Administration from Iowa Wesleyan University and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Burnstedt has put together seven years of gaming experience. During that time, Burnstedt has achieved a top match-making ranking (MMR) of Platinum 1 in League of Legends and has tallied 2,500 hours in League of Legends. He has also coached teams at esports tournaments for two years.

Burnstedt has spent the last year with AEP Energy as a contract specialist. He has also served as a project manager, a sales and marketing representative, and a recruiter at prior places of employment.
