Women’s Soccer fought to a 1-1 tie with Transylvania University in HCAC action at Fridley Field. During the Halloween Invitational in Bloomington, Ill., Men’s Swimming & Diving Tied for second place while Women’s Swimming & Diving secured fourth place. Transylvania University topped Volleyball with a sweep in HCAC action in Lexington, Ky. Wilmington College fought past Football by a score of 34-23 at Lapel High School. Transylvania University handed Men’s Soccer a 5-0 loss.

Women's Soccer Battles to Draw with Transylvania
The Anderson University women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest at Fridley Field.
Anderson (8-4-4, 5-1-2) maintained third place in the conference standings with 17 points. Transylvania (4-8-5, 4-1-3) sits in fourth with 15 points while Hanover College (6-6-4, 4-2-2) holds fifth with 14 points.
Emily Metzger put the Ravens on the board in the 67th minute with a goal assisted by Kennedy Hurst. The Pioneers responded in the 82nd minute as MaKenna Johnson scored a goal assisted by Kayla Hermann.
Transylvania outshot Anderson 16-9, but the Ravens held a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. Metzger contributed two shots and one shot on goal. Mailee Cornette, Jessica Rogozinski, Meghan Foster and Caroline Hill each put their only shot on frame. Hannah Thompson and Kyndall Ferguson each added shots. Adrienne Weyers saved two of the three shots she faced. Foster recorded her 69th career start, which moves her to eighth in school history.
"The team was facing a strong opponent," Assistant Coach Alejandra Gomez Nogueras said. "We managed to take the lead, but we were missing a few details that could have secured the win. Overall, the team worked well and created chances. Now, we're focused on Tuesday's game to finish the season the way we planned and shift our focus to the tournament."
Anderson faces off with Hanover College in HCAC action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Fridley Field.

Men's Swimming & Diving Ties for Second in Halloween Invitational
The Anderson University men's swimming and diving team tied for second place in the Halloween Invitational on Saturday in Bloomington, Ill. Anderson fielded a 3x100-yard breaststroke relay team of Thinh Tran, Reid Haney and Noah Singleton, which posted a school-record time of 3 minutes, 25.58 seconds. Haney captured first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:53.61. Anderson (1-1, 1-1) takes on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (0-2, 0-0) in HCAC action on Friday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. in Terre Haute at Rose-Hulman Natatorium.
Women's Swimming & Diving Secures Fourth in Halloween Invitational
The Anderson University women's swimming and diving team secured fourth place in the Halloween Invitational on Saturday in Bloomington, Ill. Anderson put together a 3x100-yard individual medley team of Morgan Ferguson, Callie Manley and Ella Rector, which clocked a school-record time of 3 minutes, 22.06 seconds. Lindsey Pickering captured first in the 6-dive 1-meter diving event with a score of 149.90 points and an average of 24.98 points per dive. Manley took fifth (2:34.30) in the 200 backstroke and Emily Bantsolas finished fifth (3:03.33) in the 200 butterfly. Anderson (2-0, 2-0) faces off with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (0-1, 0-0) in HCAC action on Friday, Nov. 7 in Terre Haute at Rose-Hulman Natatorium.
Transylvania Sweeps Volleyball
Transylvania University swept the Anderson University volleyball team by a score of 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Lexington, Ky.
The Pioneers (18-6, 4-1) powered to a .252 hitting percentage while the Ravens (9-10, 1-4) put together a .139 hitting percentage. Jayda Lanham notched 12 kills, four blocks and 28 receptions. Taylor Bock turned in four blocks and a .357 hitting percentage. Lacy Rathbun scattered 15 digs and 20 receptions. Ellie Wilson recorded five blocks while Blythe Young tallied four blocks and 27 assists.
"We forced Transylvania to earn their win," Coach Tami Miller said. "Our defense was as scrappy as I have seen all year and the team effort offensively was outstanding. It was a hard fought loss that makes me say I am proud of this team!"
Anderson takes on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (14-9, 2-3) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Terre Haute.

Wilmington Fights Past Football
Wilmington College fought past the Anderson University football team 34-23 on Saturday at Lapel High School.
The Ravens edged the Quakers in total offense 260-241. Alex Myers, Zaire Prioleau and Travis Billups Jr. each picked off passes. Brehdyn Clemons blocked a punt and recovered a fumble. Billups Jr. also forced a fumble. Myers led the Ravens with 10 tackles. Jake Simpson contributed nine tackles. DeMarco Cooley recorded a sack for a loss of nine yards. Johnathen Hayworth-Dupree and Jaylen Hayes added tackles for loss. Myers, Prioleau and Elie Mongengo each broke up passes.
Albert Rabb rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Carson Brookbank completed a touchdown pass to Preston Yoder. Aiden Navarre provided 77 rushing yards. Corey Layton converted a 37-yard field goal and went 2-for-3 on extra-point attempts. Quay Sumpter-Bey totaled 57 kickoff return yards on two returns.
Anderson, which is 0-3 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action, hosts Franklin College for Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day in an HCAC contest on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Lapel High School.

Transylvania Hands Men's Soccer Loss
Transylvania University (12-2-2, 8-0) handed the Anderson University men's soccer team (8-5-5, 3-2-3) a 5-0 loss during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest at Fridley Field. The Pioneers outshot Anderson 21-13 and held an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. Ashton Kuss registered three shots. Emmett Kindler recorded a defensive save. Braydon Kennedy saved three of four shots and Blake Bobrow saved one of two shots. Anderson challenges Hanover College (12-4-2, 7-1) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Hanover.
