Franklin College topped Volleyball in three sets. Bluffton University handed Football a 49-7 loss.

Women's Swimming & Diving Picks Up Wins against Hanover, Manchester
The Anderson University women's swimming and diving team picked up two wins in Friday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) double dual at Bennett Natatorium.
Anderson (2-0, 2-0) cruised past Manchester University (0-2, 0-2) by a score of 153-37. The Ravens also secured a 128-64 victory against Hanover College (1-1, 1-1).
Morgan Ferguson captured first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1 minute, 2.44 seconds to improve her school record. The senior from Farmland also set a personal record (PR) time of 1:11.58 in the 100 breaststroke. Talia Leer captured wins in both the 100 breaststroke (1:11.03) and the 50 freestyle (26.34). Callie Manley posted PR's in both of her individual events, which include the 100 individual medley (1:09.10) and the 100 backstroke (1:11.37).
Lindsey Pickering took first in the 6-dive 1-meter diving event with a score of 114.8 points and an average of 19.13 points per dive. Anderson's 200 Medley Relay of Manley, Leer, Ferguson and Madalyn Sink claimed first with a time of 2:00.86.
The Ravens also put together nine second-place finishes. Madyson Stanley secured second in both the 1,000 freestyle (12:59.05) and the 100 butterfly (1:13.42). Ella Rector claimed second in both the 100 freestyle (58.00) and 100 backstroke (1:10.40). Ferguson earned second in the 100 breaststroke. Emily Truman took second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:24.67. Sink and Bea Johnson each tied for second in the 50 freestyle with times of 27.91 seconds. Anderson's 200 Medley Relay 'A' Team of Aubrey Millspaugh, Johnson, Stanley and Rector finished second with a time of 1:58.40.
Anderson competes in the Indiana D-III Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. in Crawfordsville.

Men's Swimming & Diving Coasts Past Hanover
The Anderson University men's swimming and diving team put together a split during Friday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) double dual at Bennett Natatorium.
Anderson (1-1, 1-1) cruised past Hanover College (0-2, 0-2) by a score of 118-24. Manchester University (2-0, 2-0) topped Anderson 132-76.
Noah Singleton captured first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 54.84 seconds, improving his school record. The senior from Knox also finished second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.38. Reid Haney captured first in both the 1,000 freestyle (10:35.40) and the 500 freestyle (5:03.87).
Camden Perrine locked up first in the 100 freestyle with a time 51.75 seconds. Avery Wright secured second in both the 200 freestyle (1:56.07) and the 100 butterfly (58.71). Nic Doepner earned second in the 50 freestyle (23.66) and Ethan Scialabba placed second in the 100 backstroke (1:02.84). The Ravens fielded a 200 medley relay team of Scialabba, Haney, Wright and Perrine, which took second with a time of 1:46.12. Anderson's 200 Freestyle Relay Team consisting of Doepner, Thinh Tran, Perrine and Singleton secured second with a time of 1:37.16.
Anderson battles in the Indiana D-III Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. in Crawfordsville.

Women's Soccer Charges Past Franklin
The Anderson University women's soccer team charged past Franklin College 3-1 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest at Fridley Field.
Anderson (6-3-3, 3-0-1) outshot Franklin (1-10-1, 0-4) by a 24-11 margin and held an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal. Kyndall Ferguson, Natalie Marcum and Caroline Hill each scored goals for the Ravens. Kennedy Hurst added an assist. Adrienne Weyers saved both of the shots she faced while serving 80 minutes, 48 seconds in goal. Hill notched five shots and four shots on goal while Marcum contributed five shots and two shots on goal. Ferguson produced three shots and one shot on goal while Hurst added two shots and one shot on goal. Emily Metzger tallied three shots and Mailee Cornette added two shots. Meghan Foster and Madison Hampton each registered shots on goal. Foster made her 65th career start, which puts her tied for 10th in school history.
Anderson battles Bluffton University (5-8, 0-4) in HCAC action on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. in Bluffton, Ohio.

Men's Soccer Fights Past Franklin
The Anderson University men's soccer team fought past Franklin College 1-0 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest at Fridley Field.
Anderson (6-4-4, 1-1-2) outshot Franklin (1-11, 0-4) by a 25-5 margin and held a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Cohen Wintin came up with a steal, which led to the assist on the goal netted by Brendan Hall. Braydon Kennedy recorded a three-save shutout. Wesley Lewis provided five shots while Andon Colclazier and Miles Tucker contributed three shots each.
Anderson faces off with Bluffton University (4-7-2, 2-2-1) in HCAC action on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at Fridley Field.

Men's Tennis Takes Down IU-East
The Anderson University men's tennis team (3-2) closed out the fall season by taking down Indiana University East (4-5) by a score of 6-1 on Friday at Anderson High School. Pedro Sette and Ian Potts secured wins at No. 2 Doubles while Davis Borders and Luis Guerrero earned wins at No. 3 Doubles. The Ravens tallied five wins at singles. Martin Suarez (No. 1 Singles), Ezekiel Bergen (No. 2 Singles), Sette (No. 4 Singles), Guerrero (No. 5 Singles) and Santiago Terbonati (No. 6 Singles) each picked up singles wins. Bergen and Jacob Davenport recorded an exhibition win at No. 4 Doubles.

Women's Tennis Coast Past IU-East
The Anderson University women's tennis team (2-3) split its two matches to close out the fall season on Friday at Anderson High School. Anderson coasted past Indiana University East (IU-East) (2-7) by a score of 6-1. St. Mary's College (Ind.) (2-0) posted a 7-0 victory against Anderson.
Against IU-East, Ella Frantz and Paula Torrent earned wins at No. 1 Doubles while Abby Cunningham and Gabby Hosier secured wins at No. 2 Doubles. Jenna Jenkins and Kate Oberle won the No. 3 Doubles match by default. The Ravens scored five singles points. Frantz (No. 1 Singles), Hosier (No. 2 Singles), Cunningham (No. 3 Singles), Torrent (No. 4 Singles) each picked up singles wins. Oberle won her No. 6 Singles match by default. Against St. Mary's, Hosier and Isabella Patterson recorded an exhibition win at No. 4 Doubles.

Franklin Tops Volleyball
Franklin College (12-9, 2-0) topped the Anderson University volleyball team (8-8, 0-2) by a score of 25-18, 25-10, 25-17 during Friday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. The Grizzlies powered to a .252 hitting percentage while the Ravens were held to a .092 hitting percentage. Lacy Rathbun notched 10 kills, 16 digs, one service ace, 20 receptions and a .304 hitting percentage. Ellie Wilson recorded three blocks while Blythe Young contributed 17 assists and two blocks. Jayda Lanham scattered 14 digs while Bre Lawrence collected 16 receptions. Anderson challenges Earlham College (14-6, 2-0) in HCAC action on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Bluffton Hands Football Loss
Bluffton University (4-1, 2-0) handed the Anderson University football team (1-4, 0-2) a 49-7 loss during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest on Saturday at Lapel High School. Cody Eastgate threw Preston Yoder a 16-yard touchdown pass. Albert Rabb rushed for 63 yards while Carson Brookbank provided 91 passing yards. Corey Layton converted his extra-point attempt. Johnathen Hayworth-Dupree and Gavin Reners each produced sacks. Jaylen Hayes, Kurtis Watkins, Hayworth-Dupree and Reners each recorded tackles for loss. Kam Crawford broke up a pass. Hayes contributed two quarterback hurries while Reners and Watkins added quarterback hurries. Anderson challenges Hanover College (3-2, 2-0) in HCAC action on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1:30 p.m. in Hanover.
