Anderson Tennis Raises $3,500 in Pro-Am Tournament
The men and women of the Anderson University tennis program hosted their second annual Pro-Am Tournament at the AU Tennis Courts on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The men and women of the Anderson University tennis program hosted their second annual Pro-Am Tournament at the AU Tennis Courts on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The fundraising tournament allowed student-athletes to play friendly matches with family, friends, faculty, and community members. The tournament raised $3,500 to support program needs.
"It was great celebrating our teams and the larger tennis community at the Pro-Am," Coach Matt Moore said. "We welcomed more than 100 individuals to watch some highly entertaining doubles matches. This is a great tradition and one we hope will raise ongoing funds four our programs."
The tournament welcomed players of all abilities and all ages. In the division with players from the Anderson men's team, Caden Lesnick and Katelyn Marando won their division while in the division with players from the Anderson women's team, Jenna Kuntz and Abby Sweet won their division.
