The Anderson University men’s cross country team captured fifth place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships on Saturday at Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville.
The Anderson University men’s cross country team had each of its eight competing runners tally a season best during Friday’s JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday in Wilmington, Ohio.
Women’s Golf Sits in Third Place after Day 1 of the Beaver Fall Classic. Women’s Soccer captured a 1-0 victory against Earlham College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Senior Day. Football fell to Mount St. Joseph University 41-21 in HCAC action. Mount St. Joseph University put together a sweep of Volleyball. In the Silver Division of the Louisville Classic, Women’s Cross Country finished 19th while Men’s Cross Country placed 21st. Earlham College handed Men’s Soccer a 2-1 loss.
Women’s Golf currently sits in second place after Day 1 of the Randy Sadler Invitational in Yorktown. Men’s Soccer turned in a 1-1 tie with Spalding University behind a late goal in Louisville, Ky. Asbury University earned a four-set victory against Volleyball in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. Kalamazoo College fought past Football 27-0 in a weather-affected contest in Kalamazoo, Mich. Spalding shut out Women’s Soccer 2-0 at Fridley Field. Men’s Cross Country and Women’s Cross Country both finished 11th place in the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute.
Through Day 1 of the Forest Hills Fall Invitational, Men’s Golf sits in fourth place. Women’s Golf captured eighth place in the Heidelberg Fall Invitational. Men’s Soccer fought to a 2-2 draw with The University of Olivet. Women’s Soccer battled to a 1-1 draw with Indiana University South Bend. Men’s Cross Country and Women’s Cross Country both secured sixth place in the Hanover Invitational. Football fell to State University of New York-Maritime by a score of 48-0.
Anderson Football (1-0) opened the season with a thrilling 7-6 victory against Alfred State College (0-1) on Saturday in Lapel. Anderson Men’s Soccer (2-2) dominated Trine University (0-3) with a 3-0 victory on Friday at Fridley Field. Anderson Volleyball (4-2) put together a 2-1 record during this weekend’s Rose-Hulman Invitational in Terre Haute. Huntington University (3-1) fought past Anderson Women’s Soccer with a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Fridley Field. During the Grizzly Invitational in Shelbyville, Anderson Women’s Cross Country finished eighth place while Anderson Men’s Cross Country placed 10th.
