Women’s Golf Captures Second in Randy Sadler Invitational Behind Historic Score

Anderson's 'A' Team set two modern-era school records, posting the team's best 18-hole relative-to-par score and the team's best 36-hole relative-to-par score. The Ravens fired a 36-hole score of +98, which included a Round 2 score of +47. Anderson's 'A' Team totaled 674 strokes while Anderson's 'B' Team took sixth with an 800 (+224).
"I'm really proud of our team this weekend and how they showed up," Coach Morgan Douglass said. "It was great getting to bring our entire team to this event and have some fun together. Shoutout to our 'A' Team for finishing second and Hannah Emenhiser for tying for fourth with a great finish of three birdies in a row [on Sunday]! Also, shoutout to Abbie Burden and Addy Gick for finishing in the top 10!"
Emenhiser tied for fourth with a 36-hole score of 161 (+17) to lead the Ravens. The junior from Whiteland fired rounds of 82 and 79 on the par-72 layout at The Players Club at Woodland Trails. Emenhiser was named to the Randy Sadler Invitational All-Tournament Team. Burden tied for seventh with a 165 (+21) behind rounds of 82 and 83. The sophomore from New Bremen, Ohio posted relative-to-par personal records (PR's) for both 18 holes (+10) and 36 holes.
Gick tied for ninth with a 168 (+24) after firing a pair of 84's. She set a 36-hole relative-to-par season best. Lehna Wagner tied for 19th with a 180 (+36), behind rounds of 91 and 89. Ava Capes tied for 25th with a 190 (+46) after shooting a pair of 95's to round out Anderson's 'A' Team.
For Anderson's 'B' Team, freshman Lilyan Kirchner claimed 18th with a 179 (+35) after shooting rounds of 90 and 89 in her collegiate debut. Alyssa Cole tied for 25th with a 190 (+46), behind rounds of 97 and 93. Her second round of +21 is an 18-hole relative-to-par PR. Camille Blair secured 33rd with 199 (+55) after firing rounds of 98 and 101. The junior from Kingwood, Texas set relative-to-par PR's for both 18 holes (+26) and 36 holes. Morgan Macri took 40th with a 232, behind rounds of 121 and 111. Freshman Caroline Ripperger claimed 43rd with a 255 (+111) after shooting rounds of 130 and 125 in her collegiate debut to round out Anderson's 'B' Team.
Anderson also had Mckenna Pennington and Emma Ball compete as individuals. Pennington placed 41st with a 250 (+106) after carding rounds of 122 and 128 in her collegiate debut. Ball finished 44th with a 257 (+113) behind rounds of 137 and 120. The junior from Newport, Tenn. turned in relative-to-par PR's for both 18 holes (+48) and 36 holes.
Anderson returns to action in the two-day Beaver Fall Classic, which begins on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Bluffton Golf Club in Bluffton, Ohio.
