Comments from Head Coach Russell Mackey, "Terrific play from our defense [on Tuesday], holding Spalding to only six goals! Our transition was stupendous, led by Kelsee Smit, Alli Rastrelli, Iyana Phelps, and Natalie Hay. They were literally gazelles. On the draw, which wins games, was also outstanding. The dynamic duo of Lauren Brown and Julia Jarrells were on their game again [on Tuesday]. Together, they accounted for 11 draw controls, accounting for nearly 60% of all draw controls. Great team win."
With the semifinal win, Anderson advances to its second-consecutive HCLC Championship game vs Transylvania (7-9) on Friday, May 2, at 7:00 p.m., aiming to capture the program's first conference title.
