Women's Golf Sits in Third after Day 1 of Beaver Fall Classic
The Anderson University women's golf team sits in third place after Day 1 of the Beaver Fall Classic on Saturday in Bluffton, Ohio. Anderson holds an 18-hole team score of 352 (+64). Hannah Emenhiser is tied for fifth with a round of 82 on the par-72 layout at Bluffton Golf Club. The Ravens close out the Beaver Fall Classic on Sunday.

Women's Soccer Captures Victory against Earlham on Senior Day
The Anderson University women's soccer team (4-3-3, 1-0-1) captured a 1-0 victory against Earlham College (2-8, 1-1) during Saturday's HCAC matchup at Fridley Field.
"The game went well," Assistant Coach Alejandra Gomez Nogueras said. "It was Senior Day and our main goals were to honor our seniors and get the win and we did both. We were patient in the second half and moved the ball well. By finding spaces, we were able to score and create good chances. Overall, the team needs to work hard and stay focused on our goals for the season.
Prior to the contest, Anderson celebrated its 11 seniors Adrienne Weyers, Hannah Thompson, Emily Wilusz, Paige Tomallo, Rebekah Fannin, Meghan Foster, Julia Drier, Caroline Hill, Izzy Jahjah, Emily Metzger and Kyndall Ferguson for Senior Day.
"As a coach, I'm extremely proud of my seniors. They've meant so much to this program, not just for what they've done on the field, but for the example they've set every single day. Over the last two years, I've seen them grow into true leaders, always showing maturity, hard work and love for this team. They've set a really high standard for the younger players to follow.
"It's going to be hard to imagine this team without them, but for now, I'm just grateful that I still get to share this season with such a special group. They've truly left their mark and I couldn't be prouder of them."
Kennedy Hurst found the back of the net for the Ravens. Weyers recorded a four-save shutout. Hurst and Ferguson each notched three shots and two shots on goal. Thompson tallied three shots and one shot on goal. Cait Knepp, Metzger and Natalie Marcum each recorded two shots and one shot on goal while Hill added a shot on goal. The Ravens outshot the Quakers 17-6 and held a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Anderson battles Manchester University (1-8-1, 0-2) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in North Manchester.

Football Falls to Mount St. Joseph
The Anderson University football team (1-3, 0-1) fell to Mount St. Joseph University (2-2, 1-0) by a score of 41-21 during Saturday's HCAC matchup in Cincinnati.
Anderson held a 405-372 advantage against the Lions in total offense. Carson Brookbank completed 19-of-32 (59.3 percent) passes, throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Dunson racked up six receptions, 108 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. Brookbank and Dunson connected on a 41-yard touchdown for one of their scores. Aiden Navarre caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Cody Eastgate. Preston Yoder produced five receptions for 100 receiving yards. Deitric Johnson contributed four receptions for 55 receiving yards while Isaiah Rhodes added four receptions.
LeGermany Traywick led the Ravens with 11 tackles and also provided a seven-yard sack. Jake Simpson turned in nine tackles. Travis Billups Jr. came up with an interception. Zaire Prioleau broke up two passes while Alex Myers and Brehdyn Clemons added pass breakups. Corey Layton converted each of his three extra-point attempts while Zachary Anderson recorded two punts for an average of 51.5 yards per punt.
Anderson faces off with Bluffton University (3-1, 1-0) in HCAC action for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Lapel High School.

Women's Cross Country Sets Five Personal Records in Louisville Classic
The Anderson University women's cross country team set five personal records (PR's) during Saturday's Louisville Classic at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. Anderson finished 19th place in the Silver Division. Hattie Harlow took 59th with a 5K PR time of 20 minutes, 58.3 seconds to lead the Ravens. Anna Walpole (22:09.2), Jade Witt (24:22.3), Madison Aaron (25:20.2) and Avyanna Jones (26:54.6) all recorded PR's for the Ravens. Anderson battles in the JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. in Wilmington, Ohio.
Mount St. Joseph Put Together Sweep of Volleyball
Mount St. Joseph University (6-9, 0-1) put together a 25-23, 25-14, 25-20 sweep of the Anderson University volleyball team (8-7, 0-1) during Saturday's HCAC matchup in Cincinnati.
The Lions powered to a .233 hitting percentage while the Ravens were held to a .097 hitting percentage. Jayda Lanham racked up 13 kills, 15 digs and two blocks. Blythe Young recorded 30 assists and two blocks. Lacy Rathbun scattered 19 receptions and 17 digs. Shelby Lasure provided 15 receptions. Ellie Wilson smashed nine kills and Taylor Bock tallied four blocks.
Anderson battles Franklin College (11-9, 1-0) in HCAC action for Homecoming on Friday at 7 p.m. in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Men's Cross Country Places 21st in Louisville Classic
The Anderson University men's cross country team placed 21st in the Silver Division of the Louisville Classic on Saturday at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. David Stansbury secured 91st with a season-best 8K time of 28 minutes, 40.1 seconds to lead the Ravens. Johnnie Behrends (29:04.5), Cole Koontz (29:50.9) and Maxwell Cobb (32:38.4) each set 8K personal records. The Ravens return to action in the JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. in Wilmington, Ohio.
Earlham Hands Men's Soccer Loss
Earlham College (2-6-2, 1-1) handed the Anderson University men's soccer team (5-4-3, 0-1-1) a 2-1 loss during Saturday's HCAC matchup at Fridley Field. Anderson outshot Earlham 13-9, but the Quakers held a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal. Cohen Wintin delivered a goal for the Ravens. Emmett Kindler registered three shots. Braydon Kennedy saved two of four shots. Anderson clashes with Manchester University (2-5-3, 1-1) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Fridley Field.
