Women's Soccer Routs Berea
The Anderson University women's soccer team routed Berea College 7-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Saturday in Berea, Ky.
Anderson (8-3-3, 5-0-1) outshot Berea (7-7-1, 2-4) by a 22-8 margin and held a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal. Natalie Marcum netted two goals. Kyndall Ferguson, Caroline Hill and Kennedy Hurst each produced a goal and an assist. Mailee Cornette provided a goal. Meghan Foster and Hannah Thompson each dished out assists. The Ravens also scored off an on goal. Adrienne Weyers saved both of the shots she faced in 45 minutes in goal. Jada Van Steenvoort served 19 minutes, 32 seconds in goal and saved both of the shots she faced. River Grabowski contributed to the team shutout by defending the goal for 25:28. She did not face a shot.
Hill notched four shots and three shots on goal. Ferguson tallied four shots and two shots on goal. Marcum contributed three shots and two shots on goal. Hurst and Cornette each finished with two shots and one shot on goal. Paige Tomallo, Emily Metzger and Kassidy Jeffers each registered shots on goal. Foster made her 67th career start, which moves her to ninth in Anderson school history.
Anderson faces off with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (6-6-2, 4-1-1) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Fridley Field. The Ravens also celebrate Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day.

Men's Soccer Outlasts Berea
The Anderson University men's soccer team outlasted Berea College 2-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Saturday in Berea, Ky.
In the first minute of the second half, Wesley Lewis and Carson Reed provided consecutive crosses, placing the ball in front of the goal for Emmett Kindler to finish the goal and put the Ravens (8-4-4, 3-1-2) on the board. Reed and Lewis earned assists. In the 74th minute, Berea (1-10-3, 0-5-1) was awarded a penalty kick and Tobore Takpor delivered the equalizer. With less than eight minutes remaining, Ashton Kuss received a failed clear. Kuss made the pass to Miles Tucker on the right side, Tucker drove to the goal and put Anderson ahead 2-1. Tucker's goal was assisted by Kuss.
"I thought we has the game where we wanted it and a long through ball caught us sleeping and the foul in the box evened things out," Coach Scott Fridley said. "I was proud of the boys by responding with a goal down the stretch to get the win. Carson Reed was fantastic and Matthew Dabbelt and Alex Richwine did a good job replacing an injured Noah Neu. This group has been resilient for sure. Onto the next day."
Berea outshot Anderson 17-14. Both teams finished with six shots on goal. Reed was named The Raven's Raven after finishing with an assist and a team-high five intercepts. Tucker and Kuss shared the team lead in steals with three apiece. Braydon Kennedy saved five of the six shots he faced. Tucker and Cohen Wintin each registered two shots on goal. Marek Bollinger added three shots.
Anderson clashes with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (7-4-3, 2-2-2) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Terre Haute.

Men's Golf Tied for Second after Day 1 of HCAC Preview
The Anderson University men's golf team is tied for second place after Day 1 of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Preview on Saturday in Richmond, Ky. Anderson posted an 18-hole team score of 307 (+19). The Anderson 'B' Team is currently tied for fifth with a 323 (+35). Carter Wooddell is tied for third after firing a 74 on the par-72 layout at Boone's Trace National Golf Club. Luke LeBourdais is tied for seventh with a 76 (+4). The Ravens conclude the HCAC Preview on Sunday.

Women's Swimming & Diving Takes Fourth in Indiana D-III Invitational
The Anderson University women's swimming and diving team took fourth place in the Indiana D-III Invitational on Saturday in Crawfordsville. Morgan Ferguson captured second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2 minutes, 34.10 seconds. The senior from Farmland also earned third (2:19.42) in the 200 individual medley. Ella Rector claimed fourth (2:20.01) in the 200 backstroke. The sophomore from Pendleton secured sixth in the 100 backstroke with a season-best time of 1:05.90. Madalyn Sink turned in a 200 freestyle personal-record time of 2:19.69. The Ravens compete in the Halloween Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. ET in Bloomington, Ill.
Men's Swimming & Diving Secures Sixth in Indiana D-III Invitational
The Anderson University men's swimming and diving team secured sixth place in the Indiana D-III Invitational on Saturday in Crawfordsville. Reid Haney locked up second in the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 4 minutes, 54.34 seconds. The senior from Goshen captured third in the 1,000 freestyle with a season-best time of 10:18.10. Noah Singleton took fourth (2:03.11) in the 200 backstroke and fourth (2:03.77) in the 200 individual medley. Thinh Tran posted personal records (PR's) in both the 200 freestyle (2:20.20) and the 500 freestyle (6:39.60). Isaac Knost turned in PR's in both the 1,000 freestyle (14:03.18) and the 500 freestyle (6:49.59).
Hanover Hands Football Loss
Hanover College (4-2, 3-0) handed the Anderson University football team (1-5, 0-3) a 58-0 loss during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Hanover. The Panthers held a 452-127 advantage in total offense. Jaylen Hayes and Isaiah Buchanan put up matching stats of one sack, one tackle for loss and nine tackle-for-loss yards. Kurtis Watkins led the Ravens with seven tackles. Albert Rabb rushed for 58 yards. Alex Myers, Zaire Prioleau and Jayden Holeman each broke up a pass. Anderson battles Wilmington College in non-conference action on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Lapel High School. The Ravens also celebrate Compete for a Cause Day.
