Men's Soccer took down Wabash College 2-1 in Crawfordsville. Volleyball rolled to a 3-0 victory against Wilmington. Women's Soccer suffered a 2-1 loss to Indiana University East.
Men's Soccer Takes Down Wabash
The Anderson University men's soccer team (3-2) took down Wabash College (3-3) by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday in Crawfordsville. The Little Giants outshot the Ravens 17-8 and held a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal. Wabash controlled 56 percent of the possession and spent 77 percent of the team's possession in the attacking half. Wesley Lewis produced a goal and an assist. Brendan Hall netted a goal and Miles Tucker contributed an assist. Braydon Kennedy saved five of the six shots he faced. Luke Weinman V led the Ravens with four intercepts while Carson Reed led the Ravens with three steals. Lewis tallied four shots and three shots on goal.
"Many say that soccer is not a fair game; if I am Wabash [on Wednesday], I probably agree with them." Coach Scott Fridley said. "They outplayed us in the first half and last 15 minutes of the game. Coach Keller always has his teams organized and in order. They are such a tough nut to crack. We relaxed a little in the second half and started working the midfield with success. Noah Neu was so good, he led us in the back. He was The Raven's Raven for [Wednesday's] game as the top player. I was proud of our resolve. Even when we didn't play well, we found a way to get it done. I'm proud of these young fellas."
Anderson is set for two road matches. The Ravens take on The University of Olivet (0-2) on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Olivet, Mich. Anderson then faces off with Alma College (1-1-1) on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Alma, Mich.

Volleyball Rolls Past Wilmington
The Anderson University volleyball team (5-2) rolled past Wilmington College (0-7) by a score of 25-17, 25-9, 25-20 on Wednesday in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. Anderson posted a .308 hitting percentage and Wilmington was held to a .058 hitting percentage. Taylor Bock powered to 17 kills, 3 blocks and a .652 hitting percentage. Ellie Wilson racked up nine kills, three blocks and a .438 hitting percentage. Lacy Rathbun put together eight kills and a .318 hitting percentage. Jayda Lanham provided nine kills, five service aces and 10 digs. Blythe Young tallied 45 assists, two service aces and recorded two blocks. Bre Lawrence scattered 10 digs. Peyton Bundy delivered two service aces while Lynlee Braun and Amy Nye each added a service ace.
"What a great home opener," Coach Tami Miller said. We loved the fan support and had a dominating match. Taylor Bock had an outstanding performance followed by Ellie Wilson. It was an all-around team effort for the win."
Anderson battles The University of Olivet (0-6) on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in Olivet, Mich.

Women's Soccer Fall to IU-East
The Anderson University women's soccer team (2-2) fell to Indiana University East (2-3-1) by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday at Centerville High School. The Red Wolves outshot the Ravens 22-8 and held an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. Kennedy Hurst contributed a goal for the Ravens. Adrienne Weyers saved seven of the nine shots she faced. Hannah Thompson notched four shots while Natalie Marcum, Hurst and Thompson each registered shots on goal. Anderson faces off with Indiana University South Bend (2-3) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fridley Field.
