Bio

Codie Flecker enters the 2020-21 season in his third year as an assistant coach of the Anderson University football team.

Flecker is currently serving as the linebackers coach and video coordinator. He filled the role of running backs coach in 2018 and defensive line coach in 2019. In 2018, Flecker coached Reggie Lipscomb, who received all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Honorable Mention. Last season, Flecker coached Tristan Chambers, who also earned all-HCAC Honorable Mention.

Flecker filled the role of assistant coach at Minot State University for two years, beginning in 2015. He was responsible for coaching the linebackers and served as the video coordinator. During his time at Minot State, Flecker coached two all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) linebackers, including a first-team all-conference selection.

Flecker competed for the Ravens for four years as a linebacker. During his senior year in 2014, Flecker tallied 76 tackles, five tackles for losses, an interception and a fumble recovery. Flecker received all-HCAC Honorable Mention as a senior. He also spent a season as a student assistant coach for the defensive line.

Flecker is an Army veteran, who served as a 35M for six years up until 2016.

A native of Sheridan, Flecker graduated from Anderson with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. Flecker is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration at Anderson.

During his four-year prep career, Sheridan captured three consecutive Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) A state titles from 2005-07 and followed up with a state runner-up finish in 2008. The Blackhawks compiled a 56-4 record during Flecker’s four years.
