Maple, Harley Garner Weekly HCAC Honors
Anderson University football standouts Kreevon Maple (Eustis, Fla./First Academy of Leesburg) and Tyson Harley (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) each received Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Player-of-the-Week honors, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Harley was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week while Maple was selected as the HCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Ravens (1-2, 1-2) reclaimed The Bronze Ball from Manchester University (0-6, 0-4) for the first time since Nov. 13, 2010 after capturing a 55-27 victory on Saturday.
Maple picked off two passes, providing two of Anderson's five turnovers forced on defense. The senior from Eustis, Fla. returned his interceptions distances of 32 yards and 27 yards for a total of 59 interception yards in the game. Maple finished second on the team with nine tackles. He also recorded a sack for a loss of five, a pass breakup and 1.5 tackles for losses. Maple was also named to the d3football.com national Team of the Week.
Harley threw for 379 yards and five touchdowns. The sophomore from New Palestine also rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown, finishing with 401 total yards and six total touchdowns. Harley completed 32-of-43 (74.4 percent) passes.
Anderson takes on Defiance College (1-3, 1-3) in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Defiance, Ohio.
