Ravens Take Early Lead, Top Defiance

The Anderson University men's soccer team (8-5-2, 1-3-1) took a 2-0 lead in the first half and captured a 2-1 victory against Defiance College (4-6-4, 1-2-2) during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Defiance, Ohio.

COACH SCOTT FRIDLEY'S COMMENTS

We played one of our better first halves of the season. We controlled a lot of the game with many opportunities. Jordan Bossman had the first goal and it took some of the pressure off our shoulders. Dalton Grubbs had a great second goal off a set piece. We almost had a third goal going into halftime. We gave Defiance too many opportunities in the last 15 minutes of the game. We gave them too many corner kicks and they found a way to score a great goal against us. We still managed to find a way to score three conference points on the road and I am proud of the boys.
