Hayward Takes Third Consecutive HCAC Diver-of-the-Week Selection

The Ravens (2-1) cruised past Manchester University (0-3) with a 167-30 victory last Saturday in Bennett Natatorium. Hayward captured first in the 1-meter diving event with an 11-dive score of 454.45 points and an average dive score of 41.31 points. The freshman from Fort Wayne punched his ticket to the NCAA Diving Regionals after hitting the requirement of breaking the 11-dive qualifying score of 425 in two different meets this year. Hayward posted a school-record 11-dive score of 477 against Bethel University (Ind.) on Jan. 23. He is the first male dive in program history to qualify for the NCAA Diving Regionals.
Calvin University is set to host the NCAA D-III Central Region Diving Championships in Grand Rapids, Mich. on a date and time yet to be determined.
The Ravens battle Transylvania University (1-4) next Saturday at 2 p.m. in Bennett Natatorium.
