Three Ravens Receive All-HCAC Honorable Mention
Anderson University men’s tennis standouts Cory Evans (Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah), Seth Nation (Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah) and Sam Songer (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) each received all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Honorable Mention, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Anderson University men's tennis standouts Cory Evans (Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah), Seth Nation (Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah) and Sam Songer (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) each received all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Honorable Mention, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Nation earned his second all-conference selection after receiving all-HCAC Honorable Mention in 2019. Evans and Songer both collected their first career all-conference selections.
"Congratulations to Cory, Seth and Sam on their honorable mention for all-conference," Coach Matt Moore said. "In a year with tremendous talent, these gentlemen showed the conference how bright our future is as a program. We are excited to have them all back next year and continue building towards a conference championship."
Nation competed primarily at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. The junior from Middletown put together a 2-3 doubles record and a 1-4 singles record in HCAC play. Nation finished with a 3-10 singles record and a 3-11 doubles record.
Songer primarily fielded the No. 4 singles slot and No. 3 doubles slot. The sophomore from Bellbrook, Ohio contributed a 2-2 doubles record and a 2-3 singles record in HCAC play. Songer turned in a 5-8 singles record and a 4-8 doubles record.
Evans primarily competed at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles. The sophomore from Middletown went 4-1 at singles and 3-2 at doubles in HCAC action. Evans posted a 7-5 singles record and a 5-8 singles record.
