The Anderson University men’s team (12-8, 4-2) captured a historic win by taking down Hanover College (6-8, 3-3) by a score of 6-2 during Saturday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at the Community Sport & Wellness Center in Pendleton.

The Anderson University men's team (12-8, 4-2) captured a historic win by taking down Hanover College (6-8, 3-3) by a score of 6-2 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at the Community Sport & Wellness Center in Pendleton.

Anderson secured the program's first win against Hanover since March 29, 2014. With the victory, the Ravens locked up the No. 3 seed in the HCAC Tournament.

Prior to the contest, Anderson recognized Cory Evans for Senior Day.

COACH SCOTT GREVE'S COMMENTS

Both teams continue to take the necessary steps to see success. [Saturday] was a great example of that. Hanover is a very good team; they are well coached and perennially a top program in the HCAC. The goal was to make our Senior Day special for our captains and the Ravens did exactly that.
The men have not beaten Hanover since 2014. They did a great job. Everyone played well it was great to see "super senior" Cory Evans get the 'W' in his singles match.
We haven't played our best tennis yet, but we are definitely moving in the right direction at the right time of the season.
