Leatherman Wins 3,000 in UIndy Season Opener
Anderson University men's track and field athlete Ian Leatherman (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) captured first place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9 minutes, 8.13 seconds during Friday's UIndy Season Opener in Indianapolis.

Completing the 1-2 finish, Clayton Wilson (Greencastle, Ind./Greencastle) claimed second (9:29.91) in the 3,000.

Dahaven Rayner (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) raced to fifth in the college division of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.25 seconds. The freshman from Indianapolis posted a 200 time of 23.69 seconds.

Montravion Staley (Fort Wayne, Ind./Eastside) charged to a 60-meter dash time of 7.26 seconds.

Jair Adams (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) sprinted to personal records in the 60-meter dash (7.32) and the 200 (23.87). He also turned in a leap of 5.66 meters (18 feet, 7 inches) in the long jump.

Kaid Hutchinson (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) secured sixth (2:10.18) in the 800.

Anderson returns to action in the Coach Rob NCAC/OAC/HCAC Challenge on Jan. 25 at 11:30 a.m. in Springfield, Ohio.
