Sweigart Garners HCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week Award
Anderson University men’s track and field junior Michael Sweigart garnered the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Field Athlete-of-the-Week honors, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

Sweigart earned his fourth career HCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week award, and his third weekly conference accolade during the indoor season.
The Ravens took fourth place in the AU Invite on Saturday at the Kardatzke Wellness Center. Sweigart captured two first-place finishes. The junior from Alexandria locked up first in the weight throw with a personal-record (PR) distance of 17.76 meters (58 feet, 3.25 inches). He currently leads the HCAC and ranks 24th in the nation in the weight throw. Sweigart also secured first in the shot put with a toss of 15.65 meters (51 feet, 4.25 inches). His shot put PR mark of 16.02 meters (52 feet, 6.75) inches from last week currently leads the conference and is tied for 24th in the nation.
Anderson battles in the Marian Indoor Invite on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
