Brown Named HCAC Player of the Week

The Ravens (1-4, 1-1) finished 1-2 in action last week. Anderson captured an 8-1 HCAC victory against Manchester University (0-8, 0-2) on Tuesday. The Ravens then fell to Trine University (9-2) in a 5-4 decision on Friday. On Saturday, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (2-1, 2-0) edged Anderson 5-4 in an HCAC matchup.
Brown (4-2) put together a 3-0 record at No. 3 singles last week. She partnered with Jenna Kuntz (Edinburgh, Ind./Southwestern) at No. 2 doubles and finished with a 2-1 record for the week. The pair holds a 2-4 record for the season.
Against Manchester, Brown/Kuntz cruised to an 8-1 victory against Natalie Kotlin/Michayle Rasbaugh (0-7) at No. 2 doubles. Brown then topped Kotlin (0-8) by a score of 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Against Trine, Kuntz/Brown captured an 8-5 win against Jadyn Davis/Camille Lozier (8-1) at No. 2 doubles. Brown then battled to a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 win against Eva Morales (4-6) at No. 3 singles. Against Rose-Hulman, Brown/Kuntz dropped their No. 2 doubles match with Breanna Rogers/Ella Dorfmueller (1-0) in an 8-4 decision. Brown then fought to a 6-4, 6-4 win against Rogers (1-3) at No. 3 singles.
Anderson challenges Transylvania University (2-1, 0-0) in HCAC action on April 10 at 11 a.m. in Nicholasville, Ky. at Top Seed Tennis Club.
