Creech Tabbed HCAC Player of the Week

Anderson University women's tennis standout Anna Creech (Richmond, Ind./Richmond) has been tabbed the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Monday.
The Ravens (3-7, 3-2) took a 6-3 loss to Spring Arbor University (13-11) last Monday. Anderson then swept Franklin College (4-6, 1-4) in HCAC action with a 9-0 victory last Saturday.
Creech went 2-0 at No. 2 singles last week. The junior from Richmond partnered up with Claire Miller (Indianapolis, Ind./Homeschool) to go 2-0 in No. 2 doubles.
Against Spring Arbor, Miller/Creech secured an 8-4 win against Kenzie Weener/Morgan Summons at No. 1 doubles. Creech then earned a 7-6 (9-7), 6-3 victory against Summons at No. 2 singles.
Against Franklin, Miller/Creech put together an 8-1 victory against Maddie Bright/Claire Cherry at No. 1 doubles. Creech then turned in a 6-2, 6-1 win against Sydney Utterback at No. 2 singles.
Third-seeded Anderson hosts sixth-seeded Manchester for the opening round of the HCAC Tournament on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the AU Tennis Courts.
