Bio
Dwayne Lockridge arrived to campus from Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis in the Fall of 2002 to compete in track and field for the Ravens.
At the conference level, Lockridge took the conference title in both the shot put and hammer all four years. Anderson also secured the team conference titles in all four years of his career.
As a junior, Lockridge took eighth place in the hammer at outdoor nationals with a throw of 54.83 meters to earn all-American honors. During his senior year, Lockridge collected all-American honors at indoor nationals, taking fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 19.46 meters. At the outdoor national meet, Lockridge received all-American recognition in two more events. Lockridge claimed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 17.45 meters and sixth in the hammer with a distance of 56.12 meters. He was named the Anderson Outstanding Senior Male Athlete.
Lockridge holds the HCAC record in the outdoor shot put with a distance of 17.45 meters. In addition to the outdoor shot put, Lockridge set the current school records in both the indoor shot put (17.01 meters) and the indoor weight throw (19.48 meters). Lockridge also ranks second in school history in the outdoor hammer (56.28 meters).
