Bio

Chris Jarrett arrived to campus from Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, Ind. in the Fall of 2006 to compete in baseball for the Ravens.

As a freshman, Jarrett belted 10 triples to lead NCAA Division III and break the single-season school record. Jarrett then earned second-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors as a sophomore and first-team all-HCAC recognition as a junior.

During his senior year, Jarrett racked up a .441 batting average and an .882 slugging percentage. Jarrett tallied eight triples, 16 home runs, 11 doubles, 62 runs and 63 RBI. He also recorded 10 sacrifice flies, leading NCAA Division III in a statistical category for the second time in his career. Jarrett was tabbed the HCAC MVP. He garnered American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) first-team all-region honors and then was selected as an ABCA second-team all-American.

Jarrett has recorded six single-game school record book entries and seven single-season school record book entries. He holds the career triples record with 31. Among Anderson career leaders, Jarrett ranks third in slugging percentage (.719), third in total bases (410), T-4 in sacrifice flies (13), fifth in runs (178), sixth in batting average (.391), T-7 in hits (223) and 10th in homers (28).

Jarrett was drafted in the 42nd round by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2010 MLB Draft. He and Cody Young are the second pair of Anderson teammates to be drafted in the same year. Jarrett was also a member of Don Brandon's final 2010 team, which led NCAA Division III in both batting average and slugging percentage. The team also ranked second in home runs per game, fourth in scoring, sixth in doubles per game and sixth in triples per game.
