Bio

Aaron Schneider was announced as the Anderson University Sports Information Director in Feb. 2019. He enters the 2023-24 year in his fifth full year at Anderson.

Schneider oversees all statistical maintenance and provides all press releases for Anderson Athletics. He led the redesign of the current Anderson University Athletics website. Schneider has established the Raven Athlete-of-the-Week awards, the Raven Team-of-the-Week awards and the Spotlight Raven Series. He also maintains the Anderson Athletics social media as well as the athletics record books and archives.

Schneider nominated College Sports Communicators (CSC) D-III Women's Basketball Team Member of the Year winner Lexi Dellinger for the prestigious award. During his time at Anderson, Schneider has nominated four CSC Academic All-Americans, two NCAA Woman of the Year nominees put forward by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC), 17 recipients of national weekly recognition, 11 all-region selections and 160 conference players of the week.

Schneider joined the CSC Academic All-America Committee as a member in the Spring of 2020 and is currently in his fourth full year. He currently serves as a review team member for women’s swimming and diving in NCAA Division III. Schneider has been a member of CSC since Feb. 2019.

Previously, Schneider served as the Assistant Athletics Communication Director at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS). He joined UIS in August 2017 and was the primary sports information contact of various sports at UIS. Most recently, those sports consisted of soccer, cross country, track and field, women's basketball and baseball. During the Spring 2018 semester, Schneider served as the primary sports information contact for all of UIS's 15 sports. Schneider oversaw all sports information aspects when UIS hosted the 2018 NCAA Baseball Regional, the 2018 NCAA Softball Regional and 2018 NCAA Softball Super Regional. During his time at UIS, Schneider nominated 21 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Players of the Week, two national players of the week, nine all-region selections, four all-Americans, one scholar all-region selection and two NCAA Woman of the Year nominees put forward by the GLVC.

Prior to arriving at UIS, Schneider began a two-year term at Waldorf as a Sports Information Assistant in August 2015. Schneider assisted with the statistical responsibilities and writing the press releases for Waldorf's 20 sports. He also constructed the school's record books for soccer, volleyball, cross country and track and field. During the Fall of 2016, Schneider also taught a section of Essentials of Math at Waldorf.

As a student at Illinois College, Schneider worked as a sports information intern during his senior year. Schneider created the school's women's basketball record book, which consisted of 40 years of data. He also contributed news releases and operated the scoreboard at baseball and softball games.

Outside of sports information, Schneider served as the women's basketball manager during his senior year. Schneider also filled the role of a volunteer manager for cross country and track and field as junior. During the Summer of 2013, Schneider provided a contributing effort in a Mathematics Research Experience for Undergraduates at Illinois College, which led to the publication of Motif Patterns and Coverings of Points with Unit Disks, Part I, in the October 2013 edition of Geombinatorics. Schneider was a four-year member of the Gamma Nu Literary Society and served as president during his senior year.

A native of Bloomington, Ill., Schneider graduated from Illinois College in May 2015 with a bachelor's of science degree in Mathematics. Schneider currently resides in Anderson and worships at Northview Church in Anderson.
