"We played a very good football team and when we play good teams, we need to be at our best," Coach Jonathan Coddington said. "There were some bright moments for our team throughout the game and also a lot to improve on for next week. We will continue to focus on the things in our control and getting better each day as we prepare for Defiance."
Mount St. Joseph (5-1, 3-0) finished with a 566-329 advantage in total offense against Anderson (0-6, 0-3).
Carson Brookbank ran in for a one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Julian Holguin caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Brookbank later in the quarter.
Brookbank was responsible for 255 yards and two touchdowns on the day. The freshman quarterback from Springport threw for 175 yards and rushed for 80 yards. Brookbank provided a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown.
Holguin contributed four receptions, 34 receiving yards and a reception touchdown. Marquane Taylor produced 88 all-purpose yards with six receptions, 47 receiving yards and 41 rushing yards. Jafet Cuenca converted both of his extra-point attempts.
Rickey Bell forced a fumble for the Ravens. Marcus Ellis broke up two passes while Connor Huffman provided 1.5 tackles for loss. Elijah Williams notched seven tackles and a pass breakup while Jermaine Bond added a pass breakup.
The Ravens face off with Defiance College (2-4, 1-2) in HCAC action on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Macholtz Stadium.
