The Anderson University football team fell to Mount St. Joseph University 49-0 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at Highland Middle School in Anderson.
Mount St. Joseph (4-2, 2-0) held a 471-180 advantage against Anderson (1-5, 0-2) in total offense.
Adam Dunson racked up 63 receiving yards on four receptions. Julian Holguin notched six receptions for 40 receiving yards while Semy Turner tallied six receptions for 33 receiving yards. Zac Montgomery threw for 161 yards, completing 19-of-38 (50 percent) passes. Tone Hurd contributed 51 kickoff return yards on three kickoffs for an average of 17 yards per return.
Connor Huffman was named Raven of the Game after filling the stat sheet with 9 tackles, one sack, 2.5 tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries. He led the Ravens in all four categories. Elijah Hurns picked off a pass. Rickey Bell posted seven tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup. Jake Simpson provided seven tackles and one quarterback hurry. Zaire Prioleau recorded two pass breakups while C.L. Siler broke up a pass.
Anderson hosts Hanover College (2-3, 1-1) in HCAC action on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m. at Highland Middle School.
