Anderson Men’s Tennis Adds Four in Latest Recruiting Class
The Anderson University men’s tennis program and head coach Matt Moore have announced the commitments of five players for the 2022-23 season. Kenny Almanza, Jacob Davenport, Caden Lesnick and Sarvar Muzaffarov will represent the Anderson Class of 2026.

"This is a recruitment class with a mix of outstanding experience and tremendous growth potential," Coach Matt Moore said. "All of these players believe in the vision of our program, will make excellent teammates, and will support our spiritual growth and development. We are thrilled to welcome them as members of the Ravens tennis family!"

Riley HS: Competed at No. 2 doubles … competed at No. 3 singles … team went 7-4-1 … placed top 10 in state six times for Business Professionals of America in Information Technology related contests … competed in bowling.

Why I Chose AU: I chose AU because of how kind the staff and students are. As soon as I stepped foot on campus everyone was so welcoming I instantly felt like I belonged there. The food was also pretty good, which is a plus.
Coach Moore's Comments: Kenny is a spark of energy. His dedication to the sport, his willingness to grow, and outlook on life are perfect. He has untapped potential and the desire to reach new heights.

Why I Chose AU: I chose AU because it is a school that is close to home and it is a smaller school, which will help me succeed.
Coach Moore's Comments: Jake brings raw athletic talent to our program. He was a multi-sport athlete in high school. I look for him to take giant leaps in his skills this year and to be in a position to impact our roster by the Spring. He also joins his brother as a student-athlete at Anderson.

Coach Moore's Comments: Caden will bring instant experience to our program. He is a tested player from North Central. He was a part of multiple successful teams and played against the top competition in the state.

School 110: No. 38 ranked player in Uzbekistan in his age group … competed in Singapore Olympiads in Mathematics during classes 8-9.
Why I Chose AU: I chose AU because it gives me so many opportunities to develop in my professional job and combine my favorite game of tennis with my studies.
Coach Moore's Comments: We are excited to expand the international talent on our team with Sarvar. He is an elite junior player. I look for him to come in and have an immediate impact on the future of our program.
