COACH SCOTT GREVE'S COMMENTS
- It was another good weekend for AU Tennis. Anytime you make it to Sunday competition at the ITA Regionals, your team has played some really good tennis. Martin won four matches on Saturday, which is unheard of. The play really took a toll on his body and when you run into a good athlete like [Rose-Hulman's] Owen Reynolds, you need to be healthy. Martin started hurting halfway through the first set of that semifinal, but gutted it out. It was one of the gutsiest performances I have seen him play.
- Arturo Mendoza, Dylan Lemon, Luis Guerrero and Pedro Sette also played some very good tennis. Arturo played a very determined first round match and pulled it out even though he didn't have his best stuff on Friday.
- Martin and Pedro loss to a very good Denison team in doubles. The match came down to two points where we made mistakes that you can't make against good teams like that.
- Dylan and Luis were just three points away from beating a team that made it to the consolation doubles finals. Just a few points would have made a good weekend possibly an unforgettable weekend.
- I'm very proud of the way the Ravens competed. Now, we just need a few days to heal from some nagging injuries and we'll get back to work.
