Evans Tabbed as HCAC Athlete of the Week

Evans has been named HCAC Athlete of the Week for the third time in his career.
The Ravens (2-3) went 1-1 last week. Adrian College (3-1) edged Anderson 5-4 on Saturday in Adrian, Mich. Anderson then coasted past Olivet College (0-2) by a score of 9-0 on Saturday in Olivet, Mich.
Evans went 4-0 on the week, going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. The senior from Middletown partnered with Peter Hallam at No. 2 doubles and captured an 8-6 victory against Adrian's Ryan Cuddy/Whitman Hopper. Evans then locked up a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3) victory against Cuddy at No. 2 singles.
Against Olivet, Evans partnered with Colton Stevens at No. 1 doubles and secured an 8-0 win against Olivet's Thayne Bilicki/Trevor Lewis. Evans then recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win against Lewis at No. 1 singles.
Anderson is hosting the second annual Anderson Pro-Am Tournament fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. at the AU Tennis Courts.
The Ravens return to action by clashing with Manchester University (0-4) on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. at the AU Tennis Courts.
