Anderson Finishes 10th to Open Season in Grizzly Invitational
The Anderson University men’s cross country team finished 10th place in the Grizzly Invitational to open the season on Saturday in Shelbyville at Blue River State Park.
The Anderson University men's cross country team finished 10th place in the Grizzly Invitational to open the season on Saturday in Shelbyville at Blue River State Park.
Anderson turned in a score of 286 in the team standings.
Kaleb Gucinski (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) paced the Ravens by taking 54th with an 8K time of 28 minutes, 59.33 seconds. Zachary Davenport (Frankton, Ind./Frankton), Joshua Soden (Anderson, Ind./Shenandoah) and Ayden Humbles (New Castle, Ind./New Castle) accounted for Anderson's second, third and fourth finishers, all finishing within three seconds of each other. Davenport crossed the finished line 89th (30:43.25), Soden earned 90th (30:43.46) and Humbles secured 91st (30:45.89). Gage Guenin (Greenfield, Ind./Greenfield-Central) finished closely behind in 94th (30:54.74). Micah Stacy (Covington, Ohio) locked up 109th (32:01.66), Cameron Wihebrink (Anderson, Ind./Liberty Christian School) claimed 116th (32:47.52) and Ryan Knoll (Bertha, Minn./Bertha-Hewitt) placed 128th (38:29.95).
The Ravens return to action on Friday, Sept. 17 for the Ray Bullock Invitational at 5 p.m. in Upland at the Taylor Wilderness.
