Ravens Finish Eighth in HCAC Championships
The Anderson University men’s cross country team finished eighth place during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships at Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville.

"Both teams went out there and got the job done," Coach Karis Johnson said. "I knew they were all ready to do something great. I'm excited to see how we can raise and push the bar even further as we prepare for the regional meet."
Kaleb Gucinski (Fishers, Ind.) captured 22nd place with an 8K season personal-record (PR) time of 28 minutes, 39.1 seconds. Ayden Humbles (New Castle, Ind. / New Castle) locked up 42nd with a PR time of 29:41.3. Gage Guenin (Greenfield, Ind. / Greenfield-Central) crossed the finish line 50th with a PR time of 29:54.6. Zachary Davenport (Frankton, Ind. / Frankton) took 57th with a PR time of 30:41.8. Ryan Knoll (Bertha, Minn. / Bertha-Hewitt) placed 90th with a PR time of 35:58.5.
Manchester University's Thomas Richardson claimed the individual title with a time of 26:28.8.
Earlham College captured the conference title with a team score of 61 points. Manchester came in second with 67 points, finishing ahead of Transylvania University (85), Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (90), Hanover College (102), Franklin College (119), Bluffton University (187), Anderson (208) and Mount St. Joseph University (258), which rounds out the team standings.
The Ravens return to action in the NCAA D-III Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at Blue River Memorial Park.
