The Anderson University volleyball team (4-0) completed the 4-0 weekend in the Great Lakes Cross Over, which concluded on Saturday at Cedar Point Sports Complex in Sandusky, Ohio.
Anderson put together the program's first 4-0 start since 2007.
The Ravens took down Penn State-Behrend (0-4) by a score of 25-11, 25-22, 25-21. Anderson then battled past St. Mary's College (Ind.) (3-1) by a score of 25-14, 25-19, 25-21.
Entering Saturday, the team record for most service aces in a single match was 15, achieved against Defiance College on Feb. 10, 2021. The Ravens broke the record against Penn State Behrend, delivering 16 service aces. Against St. Mary's, Anderson added another 15 service aces to match the old school record.
COACH TAMI MILLER'S COMMENTS
We continued with some good ball control out of the backcourt led by Lauren Dungan, while Blythe Young ran the court in the setter's role. We had a balanced attack the entire weekend from key players that include Reece Kral, Paige Ricica, Taylor Ridge and Jayda Lanham. We have areas of improvement, but it was a great start to the season.
